Why our minds need nature?

More than 50% of the world´s population now lives in urban areas.

And it is predicted that by 2050 two-thirds of the world´s population will live in cities!

We find ourselves surrounded by buildings and screens, gradually moving away from the tranquility and beauty of forests, rivers, and fields.

Studies have shown that this disconnection is associated with increased chronic stress, anxiety and depression. In addition, it can contribute to increased levels of fatigue and physical ailments such as cardiovascular disease and obesity. Socially, limited access to natural spaces can diminish opportunities for social interaction and community bonding, affecting feelings of belonging and social support.

But here´s the exciting part: science shows us that nature is an endless source of well-being!

Research indicates that individuals who maintain regular contact with natural environments experience a variety of positive effects on their health and well-being.

Engaging with nature has been associated with enhanced emotional resilience, improved cognitive function, and heightened creativity. Moreover, spending time outdoors can bolster immune system functioning and lower the risk of developing cardiovascular conditions.
