HBX Group obtains ISO 14001 certification

Three strategic pillars

This milestone reinforces HBX Group’s Environmental Policy, which is built around three strategic pillars:

Climate action & energy and resource efficiency
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by addressing our carbon footprint, improving energy and resource efficiency, and evaluating climate risks across our value chain.
Conservation &  protection of biodiversity

Care for biodiversity through reforestation, clean-up and species conservation projects, and elevate animal welfare practices across the value chain.

Sustainable & concious travel
Use HBX Group’s technological capabilities and strategic position to promote sustainable travel, expand ESG-certified products, and raise awareness through initiatives like our Sustainable Wave campaign.

HBX Group is proud to announce that we have obtained the ISO 14001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for environmental management. This achievement follows months of work implementing our Environmental Management System (EMS) at our headquarters in Palma. The certification confirms that our EMS effectively structures and monitors key environmental practices, including waste management, energy monitoring, and emissions tracking. It also ensures compliance with applicable regulations and strengthens our progress toward the company’s global climate goals.

Why implementing an EMS matters

An EMS is a tool that helps companies organise themselves to reduce their environmental impact. How does it work? By establishing clear processes to identify risks, manage resources, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Although the certification currently applies to our Palma hub, our goal is to progressively extend the EMS to all HBX Group offices, building on practices already in place at other locations, with the aim of aligning and harmonising environmental controls globally. This achievement has been made possible thanks to the commitment and joint efforts of our teams and has been validated by Bureau Veritas—one of the most prestigious certification bodies worldwide—responsible for evaluating and granting ISO 14001 certification to our EMS.

For travel and hospitality businesses, this means being better prepared to meet international sustainability standards such as GSTC or Travalyst, which are increasingly demanded by partners and travellers. By embedding these practices, companies not only comply with regulations but also strengthen resilience, improve resource efficiency, and contribute to global climate and biodiversity goals.
