HBX Group has concluded its fiscal year 2025 with outstanding participation in volunteering, uniting employees, guests, and communities under a shared purpose.  This collective commitment reflects our belief that meaningful change begins with individual action — and grows stronger when we act together.

Throughout the year, we carried out actions in 13 cities worldwide, bringing together 1,027 employees, 124 external volunteers, 13 collaborators ESG Influencers and 8 ESG Activists to create meaningful change and drive collective impact. They dedicated 4,263 hours to community and environmental causes. From renovating homes for vulnerable families and supporting local schools to organising environmental cleanups and awareness campaigns, these initiatives reflected HBX Group’s values of empathy, collaboration and purpose.

Making the difference: HBX Group’s volunteering highlights of the year

Through donation drives, the company and its volunteers collected more than 805 kg of basic necessities and 1,372 essential items for social causes. In addition, 230 toys, 100 pairs of socks and 127 books were distributed to children and families in need. Beyond donations, 224 employees participated in charity runs, 14 volunteered as social guides and 84 donated blood, contributing to health and social well-being.

Environmental action

Environmental protection remained a key focus. Volunteers processed 754 m³ of branches to prevent wildfires and reused 74 m³ to enrich soil and produce firewood. Cleanup teams collected 656.4 kg of waste, while creative upcycling initiatives transformed 120 reused T-shirts into new items, produced 63 eco-bricks from sargassum seaweed and repurposed 403 pieces of office furniture for social causes. Moreover, 505 kg of food waste were saved through reduction and redistribution efforts.

Our ESG Activists and Influencers

Behind each action lies the dedication of our ESG Collaborators, who help plan activities, coordinate logistics and shape general ideas for our volunteering calendar. Our ESG Activists help us create and activate actions within their communities, while our ESG Influencers give voice and visibility to these initiatives. Together, they inspire others to take part, helping us improve communication, build a stronger network of supporters, generate local impact and grow a community of changemakers across HBX Group.

Collections and social support

Volunteering can serve as a powerful strategic tool for companies in the travel and tourism sector. Beyond contributing to society, it strengthens ties with local communities, enhances employee engagement and promotes more sustainable and inclusive destinations. When integrated into a company’s ESG strategy, volunteering transforms purpose into action, turning good intentions into tangible results. Together, we keep making travel a force for good.
